After going to the Australian Open for the first time in about 10 years I think I'm going to declare tennis the best spectator sport. This is a big call coming from a Collingwood supporter with MCC membership, but it seems quicker, easier and there is often more WOWS. And WOWS is really all you want.
This little lady looks like she would give the women in tennis a run for their money. Step aside ladies, this darling has a perm and she isn't afraid to use it. At least if her skirt has no pockets she can keep her spare ball up there. She is available on Etsy or at Rose Street this weekend, and I'm excited because my lovely lady is back to keep me company.
I was sitting at Rose Street on Sunday drawing up some ideas for Valentine's Day cards Gareth had scrawled onto an envelope. Our next door neighbour at Rose Street on a Sunday is Mark from Record Attempts. He makes journals from old records, so if you play your cards right you can see Julio wink at you. I was reading Gareth's suggestions and one of them made him come up with this idea for this card.
I was rather fond of the idea and drew this lovely tattooed lady drinking an apple prima. When coming up with the wording for the card one of my ideas for the text seemed a bit lewd, I'm not sure what double strawing a juice box might mean, but it just doesn't sound right. Anyway our card is not meant to have any rude connotations, it is all primary school sweetness and nice. You can get this card on Etsy or at Rose Street Artist Market this weekend.
With two trips to the Post Office in 42 C (107 F) heat I thought this made a fitting card for an Australian Summer. This hot guy is available on Etsy and on days like this you really do have to love online shopping. Now I think it is off to Sandringham beach to cool down!
We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year and spent time with family, friends and loved ones. We are slowly getting back in the swing of things getting ready for Rose Street Artist Market this weekend. After a 3 week break it will be nice to be back in the tin shed and see some familiar faces. With Valentine's Day just over a month away we are going to get our romantic caps on to create some new cards full of love, awkwardness and hope.
