Last year I planned a special birthday surprise for Gareth and we spend a few days in Daylesford. We had an ooh la la fancy meal at the Lake House, had some pre drinks at Breakfast and Beer, stayed in a pretty cottage and had some nice ladies touch our backs to the sound of water and birds via a CD player. But what we didn't have was the lovely Lark Shop to go to, as they just opened up week ago. The space looks beautiful and if you look in the middle distance you can see our cards sitting there. If you're going to be in Daylesford, here are the details:

We have had a few people ask if we are doing Able and Game Christmas Cards this year, so thought we would do a post to say we are. Gareth and I have been having fun coming up with ideas as well as adapting some existing designs and turning them into Christmas Cards.
It feels a little early, but we have started to put them up in our Etsy shop, and have a special section for the Christmas Cards. I'll post more on the blog closer to Christmas, because September really is a bit early, although I have been told via @Fibobo that Myer has their Christmas Shop up!
Oh, Honey is a card I really like, but its exact purpose I am not entirely sure, so I would love to know when you would use this card. I would use it for someone who needs a bit of cheering up, or maybe even for someone who has got good news. The 'Oh, Honey' seems to work on a few levels for me, and the guy is rather super stylish, which always helps.
This card is available on Etsy and also at our markets this weekend. I just realised who really needs this card sent to them today, the lovely Brynne Gordon, because when I look at her all I think is oh, honey!
There is no accounting for Gareth's skills in coming up with card ideas. This one is a little homage to his accounting skills and the way he can work an excel spreadsheet, because no matter how good I think I am, he is always 30 times better. This card is available on Etsy and is perfect for someone who values a Texas Instrument.
Did you know that Jewell station opened in 1884 and was called South Brunswick station? It was changed to Jewell in the 1950s and whenever I see it, it reminded me of the now defunct discount supermarket chain. Those of you in Brunswick, or with loved ones in Brunswick are probably the only people who would really want to use this card, but we like making cards that only small groups of people will understand. Gareth sent me an email with the idea for this Able and Game card yesterday, his wording as a little different, he suggested "I will conquer your heart" but I thought it sounded a little stalkerish, in a Death Cab For Cutie kind of way. So we go to working on the image, googling pictures of vikings. I think the thing I like most about this guy is the chocolate ice cream container on his head. The ladies gumboots come a close second.
